PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS INTERN (Local only)

Renovo Media Group (RMG) is an independent film/TV studio formed in 2020 creating genre-agnostic, values-centered, positive entertainment. Renovo is based in Clear Lake, Iowa and operates out of a 225,000 square foot facility that houses soundstages, a state-of-the-art LED volume sound stage, a recording studio, equipment rental house, editing suites, production office space and a wellness center. Renovo's most recent film WILDCAT starring Maya Hawke, Laura Linney, Liam Neeson and directed by Ethan Hawke premiered at Telluride and Toronto International Film Festival to positive acclaim.

RMG is looking for highly motivated CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT and PRODUCTION/OPERATIONS INTERNS to start January 2024. Interns will be exposed to daily operations at a very busy Film and TV studio and the front lines of script development and production.

SCRIPTED DEVELOPMENT INTERNS

Duties include (but not limited to):

• administrative tasks

• read scripts, treatments, outlines and books and write coverage

• conduct research

• provide creative support for our Creative / Development Executives

Candidate should be:

• positive, have a go-getter attitude, no task too small

• student receiving college credit

• highly detail-oriented

• able to work under strict deadlines

• willing to learn and an interest in values-centered entertainment is a must

Gain experience in the creative film & TV development worlds while receiving strong on-going mentorship from upper management.

PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS INTERN

Duties include (but not limited to):

• administrative tasks

• on set job shadowing - in studio

• studio operations support

• rental prep/delivery/setup

• additional hands-on learning opportunities

Candidate should be:

• positive, have a go-getter attitude, no task too small

• student receiving college credit

• willing to be on your feet doing physical work for long periods of time

• able to work in a fast paced environment while complying with safety standards

• willing to learn and an interest in values-centered entertainment is a must

Internship is based on student’s availability.

Gain experience in the world of film & TV production while receiving strong on-going mentorship from upper management.

This is an UNPAID INTERNSHIP and all candidates must receive SCHOOL CREDIT.

Must be based in Iowa with reliable transportation to Clear Lake/Mason City, Iowa. Interviews for qualified candidates will start immediately and positions will begin in January 2024.

UNSCRIPTED DEVELOPMENT INTERNS

Interns will be exposed to daily operations of a newly formed Unscripted department which will focus on a range of formats such as docs, docu-series, game shows, food shows, sports shows etc.

Duties include (but not limited to):

• administrative tasks

• review external pitch materials

• conduct research for potential show concepts

• provide creative support for our Creative / Development Executives

• graphic design for show pitch decks

• editing for show sales reels (sizzles)

Candidate should be:

• positive, have a go-getter attitude, no task too small

• student receiving college credit

• highly detail-oriented

• able to work under strict deadlines

• willing to learn

Gain experience in the creative film & TV unscripted development worlds while receiving strong on-going mentorship from upper management.
